Maughan Ranches encompass over 150,000 acres in the heart of Arizona.  Northwest of Phoenix, the ranches are nestled near the majestic Mogollon Rim featuring ponderosa pine forests and scenic rolling hills. Breathtaking sunsets can be seen almost every night and both locals and visitors enjoy the mild weather throughout the year.

History

Ranching goes back several generations in the Maughan family.  As the son of a dry land farmer in Idaho, Rex Maughan spent his childhood growing up on a ranch.  His life revolved around plant and harvest cycles, horseback riding and friends - one of whom is his right-hand man in business today.  It was on the ranch while helping with farm chores during the summers that Rex developed his work ethic as well as his love for the land.

Rex began investing in land in the early 1960's, buying a few acres here, a small ranch there.  Today, Maughan Ranches owns over 150,000 acres in the heart of Arizona.  At about 110,000 acres, the largest of these ranches is Fort Rock Ranch located near Kingman, Arizona.  Charming TK Bar Ranch welcomes visitors with an arched stone entrance and lively little duck pond.  West Fork Ranch is home to young colts that are born and raised, and spend the sunshine-filled days running throughout the irrigated, white-fenced pastureland.
